This series is about an alien octopus teaching tweens the finer points in what goes on in their galaxy and encouraging them to put a stop to his nefarious plans by any means necessary. Honestly, I think he looks more like Pumpkinhead Sam from Trick ‘r Treat, but I digress. While he doesn’t hide the fact he’s targeting their home world for destruction, they’ll have to halt his plans. On my first impression, this high school series may well be digging up ideas which predate Baby Assassins and include concepts from Nightmare on Elm Street on top.
After this announcement, I quickly checked out the first episode. Let’s hope this re-release is a tease to suggest a new chapter is being planned!
When Sora wrote his track, he describes it to match what this anime is about; this track is supposed to depict the fleeting moments of childhood and adulthood. This artist likens it to the cautionary yellow light on a set of traffic lights. The lyrics express the frustration and the wonder of everyday life that so quickly rushes by.
This artist commented, “Assassination Classroom was actually my favourite Jump manga series when I was in elementary and middle school. I was thrilled when I heard about this project. As a graduate of Class 3-E and a huge fan of Koro sensei, I am delighted to contribute music for this anime series that is beloved all over the world!”

Vocalist Hitomi wrote the song, explaining, “Even if you know something is out of reach, you can’t help but reach out, anyway. Just the act of connecting with the object of your desire can hugely impact your personal growth. I want to have the strength to look squarely at my past self, who walked everywhere with my head down, and accept me. This song is all about those feelings.”
