IMAX’s Avengers: Age of Ultron Poster Promotion

As the countdown for the release of Avengers: Age of Ultron begins, IMAX is certainly going to celebrate with the release of a keepsake poster to reward fans going to the April 30th screening. This company announced on Twitter last month that there are four images that they have commissioned, and the fans will get to vote on which one will get printed and distributed to theatre. No word has been mentioned on their blog page as to which one received the most responses. That might be coming on Thurs, April 23rd in order to build interest.

The voting process has since closed, and the hope here for me is that the first design with the cast in the foreground and Ultron’s face in the background is used. The speed lines of the heroes who are capable of flight works nicely to help complement my wall of Marvel Entertainment’s IMAX 12:01 and Fanfix posters, namely the Iron Man 3 where the suits of armour are flying high.

I will have to note that the last image presented, with just the Avengers logo, just feels too busy. I’ll be disappointed if that’s what the fans voted on.

Now I just have to make room for this new print that will most likely measure 13×16 inches. If they are handed out prior to the film, my advice to folks who will potentially have greasy hands (people will be buying popcorn) afterwards is to bring a mini-poster tube.
