Journey back to Pandora in an untold story set just after the events of James Cameron’s Avatar with Avatar: The Next Shadow. Written by Jeremy Barlow (AVP: Thicker Than Blood, Star Wars: Darth Maul—Son of Dathomir) and illustrated by Josh Hood (We Can Never Go Home, JLA: Scary Monsters) with covers by Gui Balbi (Alien: The Original Screenplay), This comic book continues Jake Sully’s story bridging the gap between Avatar and the highly anticipated sequel!

Vanity Fair reported that production has finally wrapped for part two, and as terrific as that news is, the film is not expected to release until 2022. In the meantime, fans of this floral universe will have this tease to keep interest alive.

Here, Jake Sully can fight a war, but can he keep the peace? Days after the destruction of the Na’vi Hometree, Jake finds himself ill-equipped to defuse the internal conflicts threatening to tear the Omatikaya apart—and perilously unprepared for a treacherous plot to remove him from the clan forever!

Avatar: The Next Shadow #1 (of 4) is available for pre-order at your local comic shop.
