The fallout has been going on for a few days straight and talk in what to do for those with non-refundable travel plans to Emerald City Comic Con in Seattle, Washington have been positive. For those who want to make the best out of the situation and are still heading to Seattle, the following tips are advised:
- Bring plenty of hand sanitizers.
Can’t purchase any? You can use 75% isopropyl alcohol and aloe vera (as moisturizer) for a similar working solution. Other formulas can be found listed here. - Use tissue paper or some barrier like gloves when opening doors, touching objects and the like.
- Wash your hands with soap and water as often as possible. Spend a minute or two to scrub throughly.
- Faces masks are not 100% effective.
Also, use common sense if encountering someone coughing or sneezing (i.e. don’t panic). Not everyone is likely to be infected. Staying a distance is obvious, but having a handkerchief to quickly cover your face when passing by an individual can still make a difference.
