I don’t normally share photos unless I think there will be a great interest in them. But these two photos are the exception, one of the photos is to provide context while the other two are just laugh out loud funny. Right now the annual Emerald City Comicon (ECCC) is being held at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle, from April 7-10. As described on the ECCC history page:
Emerald City Comicon is the premier comic book and pop culture convention in the Northwest, taking place in beautiful downtown Seattle, Washington.
In 2015, Emerald City Comicon soared to 80,000 people over three days and featured hundreds of comic book guests, celebrity guests and more!

This first photo is of two cosplayers dressed as Lt. Cmdr Geordi La Forge from Star Trek: The Next Generation (ST: TNG) and Velma Dinkley from the Hanna Barbera creation Scooby-Doo. Velma is always prone to losing her glasses but I think misfortune may have found her a date this time.
The unidentified person who cosplayed Geordi was also in this photograph amongst members of the ST: TNG crew. This photo was featured on Coming Soon.net.
This second picture is a family portrait. One could identify at least two of the t-shirts they are wearing. The dad is wearing a shirt depicting Skeletor from He-Man and the Masters of the Universe while the son is wearing a shirt of AMC’s The Walking Dead. By now you can guess they’re a family of nerds and what a cool family that can be. When you have a photo taken by an official ECCC photographer, normally guests of honour are somewhere within the photo. But where is our star?
