The next season of The Legend of Korra is most likely going to get a September release on Nickelodeon if the past year’s schedule and yesterday’s debut trailer is any indication.
The first trailer for Book 3: Change teases at what may be a blending of themes that the previous two seasons have focussed on. This time around, the adventure may rest upon a tale of two cities. One set looks heavily inspired with its massive bridge that may well mirror that of San Francisco’s own Golden Gate, and the other seems to be taking its cue from Sazan Eyes, especially with a mysterious three-eyed vixen casting her spell upon someone. And this time around, the Air Benders may be more involved in a plot that will send Korra to different ends of the earth to prevent a new war from happening. More can be seen from the trailer below:

I’ve never liked Legend of Korra as much as I do The Last Airbender – but that’s only because I completely adore the latter. I’m still very much looking forward to Korra’s Book 3, and the trailer looks great, as is to be expected. I’m hoping we’ll get to see more of a concrete date sometime soonish, although I don’t really mind the wait when it comes to shows of such high caliber. I doubt Korra will disappoint.
I agree with your sentiment about Last Airbender. It has a charm that is all its own and I watch the entire run at least once every two years. As for Korra, apparently some episodes are finished (I heard about the leak by MundoNick) and so I’m guessing all that needs to be done now is translation and redubbing series 3 for international audiences. It should all be ready by Fall, I hope. — Ed.
